DH's cousin just died
At the age of 32...
His wife and 2 kids (son-3yrs old and a daughter-1yrs. old) were at his boss' home. He and his 3 year old son went fishing with his boss. They came home, still at the boss' home and DH's cousin said that he was not feeling well so he went to lay down. When they went to check on him later to see how he was feeling they found him dead in his sleep. They are doing an autopsy on him to find out what the cause of death was. He did have a bad liver because he used to drink a lot of beer and used to do drugs. Just when he was turning his life around. Yeah he was messed up for a while but when he got married and had the 2 kids he really was turning his life around and became a new person.
Now his 3 year old son is crying because he wants to go fishing again with his Daddy and we don't know if he understands or has even been told yet that Daddy's gone. How do you tell a 3 year old that his Daddy just died and that poor 1 year old little girl.
It's so sad. The tears started immediately rolling down my eyes when we got the news this morning from DH's sister. Then later on my MIL told us the story about how it happened at the boss' home.
This must have happened yesterday. Oh god it's so sad.

DH's aunt is a complete mess right now. My MIL said that when she tried calling her sister's house another sister answered and she could hear her other sister (the one whose son just died) screaming "my son my son"

He and his sister were both adopted by DH's Aunt when they were little. They are not Brother and sister by blood. Both have different biological parents. DH's aunt couldn't have children of her own so she adopted 2 children.
DH's aunt lost her husband at a young age and now she lost her son who was young.

We just found out that it was his wife who went up to the room to check on him. She found while in the processing of dying. His face was turning blue right as she walked into the room...
I cannot stop thinking of him and his family...
DH went looking through this bag he has of pictures. And he found some old photos of them as kids. They grew up together when they were kids but as they got older they grew apart. They didn't fight cuz at any family gathering they got along great and would talk and laugh. He went his way cuz he moved to Jersey then to Penn. so we really didn't get to see him as much.

I mean it's so freakin scary how your life changes in what can be minutes or seconds. He just went to lay down and he ends up dying??? I don't understand. I've prayed and asked God why he took this guy at such a young age. Why did he take him away from 2 small children that really need him...
