I am so sorry for your loss. The same exact thing happened to my father 21/2 years ago. There are no words to express how devastating and heartbreaking this is. My thoughts and prayers are with you and DH. If you need to talk to someone who has experienced this, feel free to FM me any time. I still miss my dad every day - we were VERY close, and he was only 59, but I will say, you do learn how to function and it does get better. I know it sounds cliche and I hated whenever anyone said cliche things to me like that, but it is true.

I am so sorry. My own dad is having quadruple heart bypass surgery to prevent this very thing on Thursday. Really puts things in perspective. My prayers are with you and your family.
