DIAPER DEAL of a LIFETIME !!
For some odd reason, shoprite had the newborn Huggies (The $11 pack) on sale for $4.50 a few weeks ago. Well my luck I go and there are none left on the shelf
So usually they are NOT very customer friendly there. I ALWAYS have a problem with something when I go there, it never fails. But this time I lucked out and the lady gave me not one, not 2, but THREE rain checks, good for 4 packs each !
So today, I went with the boys today (I think I earned the discount ) and the guy that got them off the top shelf for me didnt mention how many rainchecks to use, he actually mentioned how many people have been coming and wiping off the shelves with the rain checks, so I got 8 packs. (used 2 of my 3 rain checks).
Anywho, I get to the register, and as is SO customary with Shoprite theres a disgruntled customer calling for a manager having a fit over something. So I had 8 $1.50 coupons for my 8packs of Huggies (a few were expired oops preggo brain). Usually they only allow "one per purchase") Well I usually go to the young guys at the register, who have more on their minds than expired coupons or # of coupons used and it worked wonderfully so I paid $3 per pack !
Then he needs a manager to approve the rainchecks. And with the screaming of the angry customer nearby, 2 cashiers were waiting for a mgr for approvals, I heard customers saying "I got milk and ice cream melting over here!" Now the manager tells me "Where are the diapers, I need them, you can only use one rain check at a time".... SO I gave her the "youve got to be kidding me look" while they could see my bellys about to burst, my 2 toddlers are eating chips to keep them stalled for her approval and the lady behind me goes (in my defense) "oh youve GOT to be kidding me!" and I said "Well if youre going to make a big process of this, I want fresh milk, ice cream and meat" Today just felt like one of those HOT HOT days... so she pushed a few buttons and let it go... SHEESHHH WHY is it that EVERY TIME I go to SHoprite there's some dilemma ?? ITs usually their own fault that they dont communicate something or that they contradict themselves somehow...
Anyway, Im glad I walked out with such great deals
Of course I was completely wiped out by the time I sat on my couch USually hubby unloads the groceries AND I usually go alone, but theres stuff I wanted to get and I wanted to get it over with....

Hauppauge, what a nightmare They are uneducated, ignorant, LACK customer service big time and theyre just idiots
Once they charged some of my groceries to my moms stuff (my mom was in front of me) or they used my coupons on my moms things, and I CLEARLY had the separator thing, and it was JUST the POINT that THEY made the mistake, not me, .. well the cashier was like "Sorry, you gunna haffta go to customer service for that" no apology, of course not. something just silly and ridiculous. I wanted to tear every hair out of her head! Thankfully it was my damn mom in front of me and we said forget it
oh then the clip coupons that they have, that are ONLY sent to your home, this one guy told me a trick, if you go to the PHARMACY and show your shoprite card, they'll give you another one, but they WONT at customer service (sure that makes sense), he actually did it for me once, because I had a LIST all ready for the circular that started the next day
Its just run like a zoo, terrible signs and zero customer service. I worked too long in retail that this IRKS me to no end. My bosses were STICKLERS for accurate and perfect signs and top notch customer service (at century 21).
ahhh, luckily I saved a few bucks, but im considering starting the online shopping

Re: DIAPER DEAL of a LIFETIME !!
oh, and some of my STEALS, I got SKintimate shave gel for 50cents (I think it was $2 and I had a 75cent coupon doubled ) same thing with a Colgate TOtal toothpaste.
and I usually get like $4 shampoo/conditioner for $1. good deodorants for like 75cents, cookies, snacks, shave gel for hubby, for under a buck or free. I should do this for a living

They all have deals, its just a matter of catching the deal, I'll post more here now thatI know theres an interest in coupons, I usually dont wanna bore anyone with my coupon excitement, my hubbys my best audience and cheerleader. I swear I "make" more than if I worked a part time job.
Many things I say are "try it free" when the coupon doubled makes it free or close to free.

You sound like me when I go to Stop and Shop! There's one checkout lady who knows me and the kids. She lets me slide with the 1 coupon per item thing all the time and know what great deals I get with my coupons!

I LOVE those cashiers!
I HATE the ones that are like the FBI of coupons and I try my best to avoid them. Sometimes if I see someone buying a small box of cereal when I KNOW the huge box costs LESS than their tiny box, Im so tempted to tell them
and if i decide to not use coupons, I leave em on the shelf by the item, or give a major coupon to someone at the checkout...
I rarely take the boys with me anymore. Its too much, I cant concentrate

Re: DIAPER DEAL of a LIFETIME !!
I got in on this sale too! I took my Mom in a couple of times while they were one sale and we each got rainchecks, Between us we have rainchecks for 28 packs!!!! Each time I go in, I buy 4 more, ( with twins coming, you can't have enough diapers!) Best of all, when we went to the Baby Expo this past winter, we got a stack of Huggies coupons for $2.00 off. I've been payin 2.74 for 40 newborn diapers. It's so worth the aggravation you get at Shoprite!
