Diaper Rash question...
This is DD first diaper rash and she is almost 1 yrs. old, so I am happy with that. But I have a question - do they show up slowly or just "appear" one day?
I picked her up from daycare and changed her there, cause she smelt dirty and there was poopy in her diaper (no idea how long) and he was soooo red and raw on her pee-pee not the butt at all... is this from sitting in it long?
I didn't think it would happen so fast, but this is her first one, is it even a diaper rash? Ughh, I get so mad, this shouldn't of happened, you know?

Re: Diaper Rash question...
It sounds like it could be a diaper rash, when my ds was little and I sent him to daycare he got a diaper rash so my ped said maybe they weren't changing him enough, so I just told the lady to change him 3x in the 6hrs he there instead of 2x's, and lucky for us that was the end of a diaper rash for him that is.

That is what I figured. can you put balmex on the outside of girls pee-pee? that is where it is most red.

I do, that's were DD gets red too. I glob it on before bed since that's where the diapers are on her the most.
I'd check with the laws in NY regarding daycare, here in CT, it's a written childcare thing that diapers in a daycare situation must be changed every 2 hours and logged with feedings on a daily sheet.
HOpe she feels better soon
