diaper size for newborn? poll

ok so I used pampers with dd when she was first born then eventually changed to huggies...figure I will do the same with #2
but here's the real question

Im about to order a case from amazon but at my 36 week growth sono (last week) #2 is already 7lbs 10oz...so should I just go for the size 1 diapers or still get some newborn

I say size 1. I can never go by the weights on the diaper cases for DD.

I say 1. DS was just over 6lbs and was in a 1 at the hospital.....we used newborn at home because we had them but he could have stayed in the 1's

I agree size 1.. my ds was 8 15 and I only bought one large box of size 1 and he's only 1 month and already thinking of getting size 2 for next box.

Neither of my kids ever wore a newborn diaper.. they were 8 and 9lbs each and both were outgrowing size 1 by the time I finished my supply.

Buy size 1 and if you have a preemie, send your DH out for NB size. The size 1 won't go to waste either way.

My kids wore newborn in the hospital and for the first week after that and then went into size 1. DS was 7 lbs 14 oz at birth and DD was 7 lbs 9 oz at birth. I would get a case of size 1. If you need newborn size I would get a small package.

Case of 1s and a smaller pkg of newborns. I found that Huggies fit more snug on DS than Pampers. So he grew out of the Huggies NB but was still able to fit into the Pampers NB.

I would say size 1. I had . One was 4lb 15oz and his brother was 7lbs 1oz. The hospital used size 1 on both of them (just them made them tight). They were Pampers and worked like a charm. I had a small pack of newborn but always used sized 1's even for my little guy.

I think size 1 will work- the hospital only had size 1- and DD was 7 pounds- we used them and made them tight with the tabs

I did have some newborns which fit her better- and i liked the cut out for the belly button- but i don't think you need a whole case

My DS never fit in newborn diapers but he was over 10lbs at birth. Even still, I would probably get size 1.

My DS was 8lbs when he was born and I used newborn diapers on him for about 3.5 weeks (Pampers brand - to me Huggies and Luvs run smaller).

i'd get the sizes 1's and just fold down the top for the umbilical cord
ds was 9 lbs 7 oz and the hospital gave us size 1 Pampers to begin with

I think definitely size 1! They were telling me DS was going to be around 6lbs. He was born 7lbs 4oz and the hospital used size 1 right away. If your baby is already estimating over 7lbs definitely size 1.
