Diaper Size Question

Happy Halloween!!

I have a question about diaper sizes. DD was born at 6 lbs 1 oz and was put in Pampers Swaddlers newborn size at the hospital. She was 4 weeks yesterday...1 1/2 weeks ago she was 6 lbs 9 oz (we haven't been to the doc since then, so I have no idea what she weighs now).

She is still in the newborn size and they seem to fit. The last two poopy diapers ( ) she has leaked out of the sides a little bit. Is this a sign that it's time to move onto size 1 even though they appear to fit? I still have half a case, so I was hoping to use them first! If not, should I try another brand?

I always went by that - if they started leaking - I went up a size.
