Diapers that don't leak overnight for newborns?
DS started sleeping through the night at 5 weeks (woohoo!  ) and goes from 10PM to 6 or 7AM. When I get him for the morning feeding, he is SOAKED. EVERYTHING is soaked--his clothes, the swaddle, the sheet...I feel awful that is is lying there wet for hours, but I don't want to wake him during the night to change him.
Any recommendations? One friend said to do double diapers (a larger size on top of a smaller size)--does this work? He's in size 1 diapers now. I've tried Pampers and Huggies and both seem to leak through overnight (I *think* we put the diapers on well, because he doesnt leak during the day).

An older woman at work told me about inserts (like a separate liner) that they sold when her kids were young.
Well, I finally found them at BRU.
You can try changing DC during nap time to see if he wakes up, at least then its not in the middle of the night if he won't go back to sleep.

Huggies overnites are a godsend. Not sure if they come in Newborn size. Maybe stage one? BRU and BBB carry them.

Huggies overnites are a godsend. Not sure if they come in Newborn size. Maybe stage one? BRU and BBB carry them.
They start in size 3
I actually found that LUVS worked the best overnight. I had the same issue with the size 1's leaking. I got a size up in LUVS and used them overnight and never had aproblem.

Thanks, I'll try the Luvs or the inserts!
Do you use Luvs during the day now? Are they better in general?

He does wake up for changings. Even when he was eating once during the night, he would sleep through the feeding, but wake up totally if I changed him! Then it was hard to get him back down.
He actually sleeps 10PM-10AM, but with one feeding at 7AM. This morning I didn't even have the heart to change him then because he looked so peaceful! I of course would if it was a poopy diaper, but it never is for him overnight.

I've had the same problem with DD FOREVER! She is 6 months old now and the size 3 Huggies Overnights are just fitting now (they are still a tad big though). Up until about 3 weeks ago, we were doing double diapers at night. Now she's just in the Huggies Overnights at night and we only have a leak through once in a while.

I find that the diapers leak over night when they start getting too small... try going up a size... also luvs worked the best at that stage for the overnights...
