We are trying to buy the additional furniture like the dresser NOT the crib in a store other than a baby furniture store. Did anyone else do this? Where did you buy from??

It's a little pricey, but their quality is top notch. They also discount. I want to say Bay Ridge area, but I'm not totally familiar with Brooklyn. They have a website with their address: Living Quarters

Re: Did anyone buy their furniture in a store other than a baby store?
well, i didn't buy it specifically for the nursery but i reused furniture from my own room in DS's room and bought a crib to match it. it's inexpensive furniture from a walmart type place. serves its purpose--nothing fancy. the whole intention was to buy him "big boy" furniture that didn't look like baby furniture when he was ready for it.
looks like that will be several years earlier than we expected due to #2 on the way!
we did get a nice bookshelf from IKEA that also matches.
