did anyone do donations in lieu of thank you favors for christening?
DH & I would like to donate to st.jude's or another charity in lieu of buying favors. did anyone do this? if so what charity and how did you present this to the guests??

I did it for my wedding. We did hand out token chocolate bars, but really it was a donation to make a wish. Noone complained...8 yrs ago.

I never thought of doing that for a christening, but I love the idea! I think I'll run it by DH for dd's christening.
For a christening, I think St. Jude's or the March of Dimes is are two great charities to donate to.

I am just doing favors because it's a very small party, but I think if you have a decent amount of people, it's a very fitting gesture.

My did it for my, my sisters & my brothers girlfriends baby showers!
No one seemed to mind! I wish I had thought to do it for my wedding!!
But I think totally appropriate for a christening!

I just did it with ST. Jude's REsearch Hospital. I will be getting scrolls to give to each guest. I am so happy with this.
