Did anyone else change their plans with buying a big purchase for the holidays?
DH & I were going to buy a big screen TV, but decided to hold off and wait until we get our tax $.

we were going to buy a Wii as our gift to each other, instead we're keeping our gifts under $50, we weren't going to give each other anything at all, but I think that would've made it even more depressing!!

I was going to until Sears said no interest for 3 years on a purchase over $999. I can handle a payment as low as $30 for 3 years if need be Plus that and I got a SCREAMING deal!

I was going to until Sears said no interest for 3 years on a purchase over $999. I can handle a payment as low as $30 for 3 years if need be Plus that and I got a SCREAMING deal!
wow that is a good deal.....did you just open a Sears card, or were you already a cardholder?

Well IM not working at the time. SO IM only getting Unemployment . SO IM waiting till I get my school check and I figure it would be cheaper to buy gifts after the holidays are over. IM only buying for a select few like my mom my boyfriend n his parents.n my brother n my niece n nephew

I'm due on Christmas Day and don't get maternity leave, NYS disability is a max of $170/wk for 6 weeks, then I will be taking at least an additional 6 weeks after that ....sooo things are tighter this year.
DH and I decided to make gifts for each other and rather than buy gifts for everyone (I have 6 siblings +spouces and he has 4 siblings +spouces) we are only buying for our neices & nephews (there are 12), our parents and DHs son. I did make ornaments for all of our siblings.

it was on Home entertainment stuff, i dont know if they are still offering it but I already had a Sears card you need to put it on.
