Did anyone else feel this way during your first month TTC?
i am just about to enter the 2WW, and I already have a feeling i am out this month...mainly because it is our first month TTC (and from being on this board i see how long it could really take)
but another part of me thinks....hey, you never know! maybe i am one of those lucky ppl who gets preggo right away! (yeah right!, lol)
I already see myself trying for months on end...it's like i am already setting myself up for failure, and purposely not expecting a BFP. I just feel like i am never really that lucky, so why would it be any different with TTC? Ya know??

Re: Did anyone else feel this way during your first month TTC?
Me! Me! Me!
This is my first month officially trying, I am 11 DPO and I just feel out. I feel like I can't be that lucky to get pregnant the first month, that is just not me. I have a hard time even picturing myself pregnant.
It makes it a bit worse because my DH keeps saying he thinks that I am pg this month, and I really don't think I am. So he keeps this little hope in my alive, that I sort of wish I did not have.
I feel your pain. I too see myself on this board for even longer then I already have been here. At least I get to spend my time with all the lovely ladies on this board.

My DH is the same way....he keeps saying things like we are already going to be preggo next month...i feel like guys think it is easier then it really is to get preggo. I guess i thought that way too, till i came on here and realized it's really not that easy.
Baby dust to you!!

That's funny you say this because I was the opposite! I was naive and thought we would get pregnant on the first try
Now I am on cycle 2 and I feel more like how you do now. I feel like we have a long road ahead of us. The good news is time seems to be flying by.
Good luck to both of you this month!

They definitely think it is easy to get pg. They have no concept of how difficult it can be. They don't take the time to really understand a woman's body, heck even their own body.
What is even worse is I told my BF about TTC and her and her DH decided they are going to start as soon as I am pg. Like I needed even more pressure.

I feel exactly the same way!!! This is our first month too and I am already sure I am going to have problems...I don't know why - when I have never tried to get pregnant before and do not have any known problems. I have a regular cycle. I just got my peak yesterday on my CBEFM. The only thing - and it is a big thing - against me is that I am 38 years old - so that makes me worry. It doesn't help that I am a worrier to begin with. I hope your stay here is short!

wow, that does add a lot of pressure...your friends really shouldnt plan around when YOU become pg. That is one of the reasons why DH and i chose not to tell anyone we were trying. we have a family memeber who we know is trying...but i see how hard it has been for them, i feel like if we told them it would add more pressures on both of us.....(US and THEM). I guess part of me is afraid of failure and i dont want people to "feel bad for me"...know what i mean?

I wasn't going to tell anyone. But I can't keep secrets from her. I never could. I lasted I think 3 days and then told her. She is not putting pressure on me in words, but I know she really wants to have a baby (which is all the sudden) so I am putting the pressure on myself.
Part of me is happy she is waiting till i get pg, that way I don't have to be hurt if she got pg before me if it takes a while for me to get pg, KWIM? She is the type to get pg the first month trying, and I think she knows that.

yeah i know what you mean...i am sure she has no idea that you feel pressure. and it's nice that you have a friend that you can share things like that with. My closest friends would be in shock if i told them we trying, i feel like they would think we are trying too soon (i shouldnt feel that way, but i do)....so that's the main reason why i haven't said anything.

All my other friends would look at me like I had two heads if I told them we were TTC. They are definitely not at that point in their lives.

Yes, the first 2WW is a bummer. It is hard-it gets easier in some ways, harder in others.

Re: Did anyone else feel this way during your first month TTC?
I def didn't psych myself up the first month..but secretley deep down i was like...i'm so going to get my BFP that first month. Needless to say when it didn't happen I wasn't too upset. But the second month I was really upset.

I am with you 100%. I am so scared to POAS bc I know the first cut will be the deepest! I am 10DPO and I am probably one of the only girls who does NOT want to POAS asap, lol. I was talking to DH last night saying I don't think this is our month bc I feel like I would be "feeling" more...
