Did anyone else give birth to a backseat driver?!
Katherine has recently begun barking out orders from the backseat whenever she's in the car. Here are a few of her demands...
"Put your hands on the handle!!" That's the steering wheel, by the way.
"I want to drive!" I had to teach her the difference between the red and green lights as a result.
"I want to drive; the light is GREEN now." She clearly doesn't understand waiting ones turn in traffic.
"Keep that on!" The heat, that is.
"I'm listening to that song!" So...we aren't allowed to change the channel any longer.
and my favorite...
"NOOOO SUN, NOOOO!!!" When the sun is in her face. I tried telling her that she ought to thank the sun because without him, none of us would be here. So, now she'll say, "Thank you sun!" But just in case, I always make sure to have her sunglasses with me at all times. 
Yeah, and this is just about every car trip...sigh.

 TOO funny!
The only thing I hear is "GO MOMMY" when the light turns green and "STOP MOMMY" when it turns red.
Oh, and always, "mommy sit here" as she points next to her. I've tried to explain to her that we won't get anywhere if I'm sitting next to her and not driving, but she doesn't quite get it yet

Well not officially but DS sceams EYES, EYES, EYES when the sun is in his face and NINA when he wants to hear that song (which we have to repeat over and over, I don't know how I don't all the words when their have been times we have had to listen to this song half way home from NY going to NJ )

I have one too! My 3-1/2 year old is a horrible back seat driver. Tells me what lane I should be in. Tells me "that car drives like a maniac!" Has to know what every street sign means  Always asks "why are you stopping?"

Everytime we head to school I hear "Are we lost Mommy? I think we are lost. Uh-oh Andy, Mommy got us lost." Meanwhile we go the same way every day.

YES! That is so funny that you mention it.
Everyday when we pull out of the driveway she says - "Go this way mommy" and she KNOWS the way to school - she tells me when and where to turn and which way to go - I think it is so funny. Glad to know we aren't the only ones!
ETA: I also get a lot of - "New Song mommy" and "LOUDER" (refering to the radio)

And today she said about the car in front of us that wasn't moving..."I wanna hit that car - and then I'll be angry"

My niece was in the car when her mom was driving and rearended my car. No one was hurt, but there was damage. From then on (she was two) she'd always yell "mom - look out! watch out for that car!!!" and cover her eyes whenever she thought they were getting too close to the car in front of them.

My kids too. My DS was telling me where to park one day meanwhile they were handicapped spots to what does he know anyway. I finally shut him down with "I've been driving 3x as long as you've been alive, I think I know what I'm doing" My DD does it sometimes too, they're in he backseat yapping that the light is green.
Don't even get me started on the radio. My DD said the other day "DOnt turn that off, that was Band on the Run"
