Did anyone ever hear that puppy food is bad for puppies?

Did anyone ever hear that puppy food is bad for puppies?
My dog is not doing well on her current food, so I was looking at different dog foods sites. I came across a chat room where too different people said to never give puppy food to a puppy. They should go straight to adult food. They said it was too high in Protein and that can hurt a puppy. It actually made no sense to me, so I just wanted to see if anyone has heard of this.
My dog was on Wellness puppy and actually went out today and got her Innova. I mixed it in today and she doesn't really like it, but I'm sure she needs sometime. I was thinking of putting her on adult food.

puppy and kitten food is actually higher in fat, which little animals need at that stage in their life. i have never heard of puppy food being bad for puppies...  the people in that chat room are full of it, IMO

I thought it was crazy as well! I never heard of that. I actually thought you had to feed puppy food. I might want to switch to adult food, I hope that is okay.
