Did anyone ever heard of being taken OFF blood thinners for a hematoma?
This is so confusing to me
Long story short, I have a clotting disorder- it is very mild but my High Risk dr had put me on Baby ASA prior to becoming preggo. At 6 weeks preggo they found out via sono that i had a very small hematoma.
it started to resolve and then at 15 weeks 3 days, it grew. Went from about 1cm to 2.61cm.
Both my high risk dr and my OB agreed that i should come off the baby ASA x 2 weeks bc that is causing the bleed. (BTW, i have not had any external bleeding, they only see it on the sono).
In addition they put me on partial bedrest- bascially limited my activity, I cant go to work right now- I am a nurse, until my level 2.
Has anyone had experience with this- particularly stopping the aspirin with a hematoma.
I am so scared.

I had a 4cm. hematoma on the placenta at 13 weeks and was given no treatment at all. I was just told to take it easy and not do any heavy lifting. It bled out and resolved by 20 weeks. I do not have a clotting disorder. From what I read, the blood thinners can either cause or prevent this condition. It's very confusing to me. If you are concerned, maybe get a second opinion from another high risk OB. Best of luck!
