Did anyone get a college class ring after they graduate college?
If so, where did you buy from? Did you order online or in person? My BIL just got his ring and my MIL talked me into getting one for myself since I never got one in college. But, the company my BIL used doesn't seem to have University of Rochester as an option.

There are a couple of companies who have kind of cornered the market on this (having worked at colleges previously). Josten's is the biggest for colleges I think, and they appear to have your school! Here's the link:

this what my college ring looks like .. can you maybe just call your shcools and see what company they used ... my mom got me mine (i didnt really care if i had one) and it was ordered thru my school!

Too bad....Herff Jones is the other major company that does it....there may be other places you can find them online but those two are the big ones....

Actually I looked a little more online, and they have Rochester representatives!!
So I emailed the representative for more information. I would get the ring JUST like this, but with a royal blue stone for Rochester. DH was like, "you can't talk to my mom anymore", lol.

Thanks! DH was sweet. I was debating because it will be like $600 for something that I will probably wear a year and then put away. But he was like, "If you want one, you should get one". Even though it will be his salary paying for it since I am in grad school.

I got my ring from Artcarved. You can order them online. I really dont wear it much anymore, but it is still nice to have.

They had a company come to the school. Can't remember if it was Jostens or Artcarved.
I bought one; wore it for a while, now it sits in my jewelry box.

I have one- it's solid white gold & has the school crest embossed in the top- it is nice & simple.

Yeah I know what you mean. When I was in SBU I got this ring and then the next year the company said that the school wouldnt allow them to sell that one anymore.

Yes! I don't remember the name of the company, but I am pretty sure it was NOT Jostens. (I got my HS ring through Jostens.)
I don't wear it every day, but I do wear it fairly often. I absolutely LOVE my college ring. I went to UNC Chapel Hill so the stone is a pretty Carolina blue.  I have a mini traditional ring... so while it's obvious that it's a school ring, it's actually rather small.

Jostens set up camp in our student center and I ordered it there. My parents gave it to me for my bday senior year.
I love my ring- no stone a signet design. However it is yellow gold so I don't often wear it. I am glad I have it however.

Sorry to hijack the thread! It's weather like today in NY that reminds me of Spring in Rochester 
I love it up there, everything about it! I could live there forever but DH is a true NYCer.

Way back when I bought my HS ring, I did not use the school's vendor. I got it from a jewelry store that was a vendor of another company. There was a a style I liked and both companies made that style but I preferred the way one company put it together.
I guess I have not changed a bit. For my e-ring, there was a designer I liked and other companies and jewelers made knockoffs and similar rings but I always felt that there was a difference in the workmanship and the look, so DH had to buy from a store that sold that designer. Some other LIFers have this designer, too!!!
I believe that any company that makes rings can easily put any school name on them. Is this true? I'd like to know now because I may want a college and/or law school ring. My law school has an official ring and I think it's cool that grads can always spot each other by their rings, but I think I want to design a combo college and law school ring (20 years later but I know I would wear it).

I got one, but that was back in '95. I only wore it for about a year afterwards or so.
Mine was from Josten's and it wasn't the typical college ring. It was gold and had a row of about 5 diamonds going across the top of it.
