Did anyone give water to their infant to hold them over
for their next bottle? I don't know what to do anymore. DS wants to eat eat eat. He hardly ever makes the three hours. He just increased from 4 oz to 5 oz in 3 days.

No - they don't really need water - it's in the formula. I would increase the amount you are feeding him. He'll stop eating when he is full.

ITA Hannah was eating 6 oz at 8 weeks - Jack is eating 4 - 5 oz and will want to eat every 2 - 3 hours as well. I offer him more, but he never takes more than the 5. I make 6 oz bottles and let him stop when he's full.

Nope and you shouldn't. It creates a chemical imbalance and is very bad for them. I would try to up the intake. DD always ate every 3 hours no matter what.

my doctor said to keep feeding DS whenever he wanted at this point. i wouldn't give him water--only formula
