Did anyone have a new walker who HATED shoes?
I don't know what I should do here...I don't recall this happening with my girls.
My DS began taking steps the day before Thanksgiving and now he's pretty much full-on walking around the house. So, I bought him shoes last week and he WON'T wear them. He screams and cries and tries to pull them off...and usually succeeds!
Yesterday, we went to a Santa breakfast and I had him wearing shoes he couldn't get off (which I have to retire because they're too small and mostly "decorative" anyhow), but he refused to even stand in them!
What to do???

DS wouldn't wear shoes either (and he started walking around Thanksgiving as well).
I put him in a pair of Stride Rite Level 1 (similar to Robeez) for the first month so he'd have protection. By New Years, he let me put walking shoes/sneakers on him.

My youngest started walking in September & refused to wear shoes. I let him walk around barefoot & then put gripper socks on when it got colder. If he was outside, i made him wear crocs. If he took them off, in the stroller he went.

DD#2 hates shoes as well. Any time she is left alone she rips her shoes and socks off. The tie ones are better because it takes her longer to get them off. We started letting her go barefoot iwhen we are inside anywhere.
We just keep trying with shoes because obviously she needs to wear them in certain situations, but if it's somewhere she doesn't HAVE to wear them, she goes barefoot. We also got a bunch of the socks with treads on the bottom so in the colder months her feet are at least covered. She rips those off as well.
