something about pushing and straining and your vision worsening?

i've heard of breaking capillaries during pushing and vision changing during pregnancy in general, but i haven't heard of vision changing during labor specifically...

I've heard that its common for vision to worsen during pregnancy (and go back to normal afterwards) but not during labor.

yeah i heard that your vision worsens but goes back
but my MIL mentioned this happened to my SIL during labor- something about the pressure in her eyes?

i guess i can sorta see that happening - especially if you "push with your face." i mean, if i get a really bad sinus infection my vision seems to change because of the pressure, so i guess it's possible during labor. i can't see it changing too dramatically though.

Especially if you push and put all the pressure in your face - you will break capillaries.
I gave birth twice and can't remember my eyesight getting worse. I wouldn't worry.

my friend popped blood vessels in her eyes from pushing so hard. but her vision was fine.

I've also heard of your eyes changing shape because of fluid retention...causing contacts to not fit correctly and/or changes in actual vision while pregnant.

My friend thinks that she had some damage that happened during childbirth to her eyes, but she is ok. Not ever sure if that is when the damage happened. Nothing terrible.

I haven't heard about vision changes, but my gfriend told me last night that a good friend of hers refused a C section and ended up moving all her internal organs from pushing so hard that for 3 months after she wasn't able to control her bladder at all. That freaked me out!
