I just remeasured my shoe- it's 9 inches long

pretty easy to fall thru- but then I guess that would be my fault for having small feet Chat Icon

I did and it is.

I take the subway every day for 6 years and I never had a problem. I commuted from LI for 6 months and I was always scared of the gap, especially when I fell in once.

One of the LIRR Conductors told me they've been complaining about it for years and that technically Syosset owns the station and needs to agree to a solution.

well apprently they've agreed because they are interviewing vendors.

Now that's a business to be in. Coming up with and engineering a solution to this problem.

I commuted from Syosset train station for several years before I decided to stay home with my kids. I never really noticed a large gap, I guess I just stepped over it. But the station does have a curved platform, so I could see it. But my large and lovely body would NEVER fit through a space of 15 inches, so I feel safe being large!
