Did anyone start "showing" in their 8th week??

Ok..going into week 8 here, and I have NOT been eating any differently-and i most definitely have this small round belly. Its really funny b/c just 2 weeks ago i was pretty flat. I can't wear my normal pants, they won't button, lol.

I don't think its normal probably to show this early...maybe my body is just swollen? I was curious to see when others started to notice their bellies expanding!!

I did!! I was out of my regular jean by 8 weeks, couldn't button them up. I was out of my normal work pants at 14-16 weeks.

Im so glad you posted this, cause I'm 11 wks and I have this little tiny budda belly. I have to keep my pants unbuttoned. I tried to **** it in but it ain't goin no where. I suppose I should just get used to it.

Hmm..11 weeks is more of an excuse than 8 though, lol! I really think most of mine is fluid retention...my fingers feel swollen too! Its crazy!

Re: Did anyone start "showing" in their 8th week??

I gave up and gave in very early. I decided I would rather be comfortable...and went and bought smaller sized maternity pants with the elastic band. Just a couple of pairs to get me through the beginning. It was the best decision I made. I swear I actually heard my entire body SIGH when I put on the maternity pants for the first time. Chat Icon

Re: Did anyone start "showing" in their 8th week??

You are probably retaining a lot of water. This happened to me in the first 8-9 weeks. Then I stopped retaining so much fluid and was able to fit into my clothes again for another 5 or 6 weeks before I started wearing maternity pants. Now, at 18 weeks, I'm full time in maternity clothes, but only for about two weeks now have i been able to fill out the shirts.

Re: Did anyone start "showing" in their 8th week??

I am 10 wks and definitely have a little belly and my clothes that used to be loose are now leaving marks on my stomach and are sooo tight. I am going to have to get some new stuff that's more comfortable. I tried to **** it in for a while but it's not really working anymore.

Re: Did anyone start "showing" in their 8th week??

I'm nine and a half weeks and my stomach is a budda belly. I think some of it has to do with gas and bloating, but most of the day it hangs over my pants! My close still fit, but are getting tighter. I just ordered the belly band.

so funny you posted this, I am almost 8 weeks and I feel as though I cannot **** my belly in at all! I am sure its from bloating but it feels thicker and tight and its definitely there.

Re: Did anyone start "showing" in their 8th week??

definitely noticing my pants are getting tighter because I only fit in a few pairs now. I feel like I have been this way for so long though because the IVF made my ovaries so huge that everything has been swollen for a few months now. Chat Icon

Re: Did anyone start "showing" in their 8th week??

This is my first pg'y and I started showing very early too, 7 or 8 weeks I think. My doctor told me it was because your uterus is still very low at that point and it pushes you intestines up. That and gas and bloating. Being my first pg'y, I didn't care what the reason, i loved showing earlyChat Icon
