Did anyone switch drs during pregnancy?

I am just over 13 weeks pregnant and am seriously considering switching drs. My mother is telling me not to, since I already had a lot of tests, bloodwork, sonos done at this dr. What do you think? Is it too late?

I just moved to Nc so I have to switch doctors. They send all of your info to your new drs office, so no need to worry about your test results. Switch to someone you are happy with.

If you are unhappy, I would switch......they can forward your records to the new dr

I switched dr.'s at 36 weeks because mine left the practice and I love him! I just had to pay for them to copy my records, picked them up and was on my way. If you're only 13 weeks, I would switch now. The sooner the better.

I moved OOS, so I switched at 14 weeks

No, I do not think it is too late. You still have so many important appointments to go thru with your dr. You should feel comfortable with him/her. If anything, they will charge you .75 a page to copy your file and you bring it with you to the new dr.
I never liked any dr. until I met my current Obgyn. At 36 weeks my dr. left the practice he was originally with and I followed him to the new place. My file copy cost me under $30.00. Best $30 I ever spent.

I switched at 25 weeks. The doctor that I originally had is no longer delivering at the hospital that I want to deliver at so I switched. It was better for me.

PLEASE trust your gut and switch now before you invest any more time with a doctor you are not happy with. I was not happy with my doctor at all from the beginning and kept making excuses for him

...at 34 weeks it came to a head and I seriously considered switching but thought I invested too much with him, that it was too late in the pregnancy and that it was too stressful and that everything would be fine ... I actually had a high risk doctor willing to take me and I still said no - MISTAKE!

WELL, my whole labor/deliver/after was a bad experience because of him. I wont go into too many details of the pregnancy/labor but the final straw was my sons circumcision where he CUT and STITCHED his penis and lied to me about the reason why it was stitched. I WILL NEVER NOT GO WITH MY INSTINCTS AGAIN --- EVER!

Find yourself a good doctor that you trust 100% with YOU AND YOUR CHILD.

You have plenty of time and everything will work out fine. Follow your instincts ALWAYS!

I just switched to a new dr. I am only 9 weeks but I did not like my old office and was unhappy..I'm going to my cousin's office and it has been highly recommened by her and on here too! I would switch if you are unhappy..it's not that late into your pregnancy. Good luck!!

Yes, I switched docors at about 13-15 weeks along. It worked out fine.. you need to feel 100% comfortable with your doctor. I would not hesitate to switch

I am going to call a few new drs. tomorrow. Do I make an appointment to just go and meet the dr?
