Did anyone try any "myths" to bring on labor?

If so, what was it you tried and how far along were you when you began trying them?

Re: Did anyone try any "myths" to bring on labor?

I did squats like 50 a day and i swear it worked. The night my water broke i had just done like 30 squates. I also walked one mile per day. A girlfriend of mine walked one mile per day also and had her baby two weeks early. I also had my baby one week early.

Good luck!

ETA: I started the squates and walking at like 36 weeks.

~Raspberry Leaf tincture & Blue Cohosh.
~The famous Eggplant Parm & lots of Italian, MExican & Chinese food.
~LOTS of walking/squats

yup, me too!

I walked, jogged around the pool, ate the eggplant, drank gallons of raspberry tea, did pressure points - I did all these things and more the day before I went into labor, but I was already over a week late.

I wasn't trying but my ob/gyn's theory at to why I went at 34 weeks was from the amount of walking I did the week before (9/11)

I didn't, but my SIL swears by evening primrose oil. She had her DD at 38 weeks.

I started approximately 1 week and a 1/2 before my due date and nada.
I was so done that 3 days after my due date I called my Dr. and lied about having contractions knowing that when they took me in they'd just induce me since I was already late.Chat Icon
