did anyone wait longer than 12 wks to tell work
im not looking foward to telling my boss- she is a single mom of one child and basically hates being a mom. She has said numerous times "now dont go and get pregnant on me cause I need you here to cover" Im the only one that knows various postitions to cover for emergencies. My son is almost 4 ive put off getting pregnancy for a long while due to this job and I i just couldnt put my life on hold anymore.
im 12 weeks and starting to show only tiny bit. Im wearing baggy clothes to cover, i think i can keep this up for a little while longer. i hate that it has to be like this. I think my other coworkers would be happy for me too.
anyone not say anything for awhile?

Re: did anyone wait longer than 12 wks to tell work
i think i was 13 or 14 weeks at the time but i work in health care and thought it was very important for them to know for my own safety. if i had an office job or something other then health care i def. would have waited till i was about 20 weeks.. and showing

Re: did anyone wait longer than 12 wks to tell work
I was about 18 weeks when i told everyone at work. A few people knew due to other issues earlier than that but i made the official announcement after my level 2 and we found out all was ok. I was actually surprised at how many people didn't put 2 and 2 together yet.
If you want to tell your co-workers then you should when your ready, not when you think your boss can handle it. THis is a joyous time for you so enjoy!!!

Re: did anyone wait longer than 12 wks to tell work
1st PG I told very late. At about 22 weeks. But I wasn't really showing. Second time 20 weeks. This time I told my boss early because we are friends and I promised I would but everyone else was told at 16 or 18 weeks.

Re: did anyone wait longer than 12 wks to tell work
I was about 17 wks when I told my boss the first time. I hope I can hold off that long with this one too - not looking forward to sharing with him (I know in his mind I JUST got back from maternity leave)
