Can someone tell me the symptoms??

Don't know anything about the chicken pox, except that I hope that Amber doesn't have it...or if she does that she isn't feeling too bad.

The little girl across the street has them. Some kids start with a fever others just get little red spots that look exactly like bug bites.
I hope she is okay? Did she get the vaccine? If so my doctor said the case will be mild. The little girl across the street got the vaccine and she only has about 30 pox and no fever.

She vomited on Friday morning and was sort of out of it for the rest of the day. Saturday she barely ate and was feverish intermitently. I gave her some Tylenol and she seemed better. Yesterday she was completely lethargic but seemed to rally at night. This morning she broke out with about five small bug bite looking things on her face/arm. My parents are taking her to the pediatrician today.

Sounds like chicken pox. Not sure where you live but my Dr. said there is an outbreak in Smithtown. They usually do not start on the face but you never know.
My daughter was exposed to chicken pox last week so unfortunately I have been researching for days.
I have my fingers crossed for you that it is nothing.

I hope Amber is feeling better. Emily has very similar symptoms. I had her at the dr. today. She has a rash on her face, neck chest and back. She had a fever on and off Friday and Saturday. She has had diarrhea since Saturday. Now today she has a rash. The dr. said it was viral. The rash is the end of it and she should feel better by midweek. I should add that she is very cranky. Does Amber have the chicken pox? So after my rambling and to answer your question, I have no idea what the initial symptoms are of chicken pox.

Neither did Amber, she was too busy kicking me all night. She won't stay in HER bed and wants to be in mine. Between her and the dogs, I'm sleeping on the floor. She rotates like the hands of a clock in her sleep. Uggh! She's super cranky too!

) but she does have something viral on top of an ear infection from water from the pool, etc. It wasn't easy selling her on the idea that the medicine tasted like bubble gum
