did i jink things... i know this sounds silly
hey girls... ok so dh and i wanted to wait to tell people but i think the excitement is starting to kill us. We had a mc with our first one at 7 weeks. With this pregnancy we weren't gonna tell anyone till 12 weeks but it is starting to leak out and some people know. Is this a bad idea? i feel ashamed... but i was in so much pain at work that night that i needed the support.

I don't think so! I told my co-teacher early because I think she would have realized I was sick and just not myself and it was easier for me to tell than have her guess! I only told her though, because I didn't want everyone to know immediately...do whatever is right for you!

Re: did i jink things... i know this sounds silly
My good friend always told me that no matter what I do or say, the outcome will not change. She said this to me when I would get all worried that something would go wrong if I was happy about the pregnancy. I think you are fine, remember this is a different pregnancy. I know how you feel though, I had a mc last year, so that first tri really had me worried constantly. There is no rule as to when you tell people, do whatever is best for you. Best of luck and happy and healthy 9 months to you!!

Like 'dreambaby' said, you have no control over what is gonna happen so enjoy every moment of it! I also had a m/c and was very worried with this pregnancy- esp the whole 1st trimester. Shiit, I ain't gonna lie, I still get worried... but it's really in the hands of the Gods now. Try to relax and enjoy this time with your DH. If you tell the world or not will not change what will happend. Also remember, that the likelihood of a 2nd miscarriage is alot less!

No such thing as jinx. I did the same thing the second time and here I am 7 months later.

you can't think like that! you should be happy to tell people, this is such an exciting time in your life. Please don't beat yourself up about it. What's meant to be will be. I am sure you will have a happy healthy baby!
My MIL started buying stuff for the baby when I was 5 weeks and now I am 30 and everythings fine!

Don't feel ashamed! I know some people are superstitious or feel that it isn't proper to tell, but I told early on. I like to think the more people who know the more prayers that things will work out ok

I tell everyone right away. I feel like if god forbid something happens, I would want all the support I can get.
