did i miss my opportunity to get discounted bronx zoo tickets?!?
i should have done it when I saw it a couple of months ago...
but is there anyway to get the membership (to go to all the parks - central park, aquarium, queens, bronx) with a coupon or discount!?!?
AND...
I never did this before...what is a better deal ...(for me) I will prob go with my 3 kids (ages 4yrs ,3yrs, and 4 months) by myself at times...but i know there will be times i will like to have my DH with me...Can i get away with the single person membership or should i get the family membership?!?!?

Yes the $20 off expired.
The membership you want is the family premium which is $166 (you can get it on their site) it includes the unlimited admission to the 4 parks, unlimited admission to the paid attractions at the bronx zoo and the aquarium (except the camel ride) and it includes unlimited parking, 10% off gift shops and food. A portion of the membership is tax deductible.
I believe they start charging at 3 the individual won't help you because your 4 yr old would be your guest then you would have to pay for your 3 year old and anyone else. If you get the family it will include your children and your DH and you can bring a guest if you don't name the 3 adult (they do that because those with nanny's can have their caretaker take the children without the parents- but the caretaker has to be named on the pass)

Do you have Optimum Rewards? I believe you can discounted tickets that way.

My brilliant (I'm cheap haha) idea which I plan to execute this summer-
Buy the pass on July 1st 2012 and it is good until July 31st 2013. (thanks again lillykat for the info that it's good until the END of the month you purchase!)
This way we can use it for "two summers".

Another hint. I just realized the other day that my old membership expired Sept 30, 2011 and I looked at my card for this year and it says it expires Oct 31st. We sent in the renewal in August. So I believe if you renew in advance the new membership will start the beginning of the month after you renew (so if you originally buy July 1st - your membership that year will end the 31st of July - but renew in June or early July your membership will end August 31st the NEXT membership, etc.)

I just got something in the mail that you can do the premium family thing until I think late June for 144$ with unlimited parking. I think that is less than last year and last year I only got a few parking passes.
ETA: I just looked at it and it is 144 until July 31st! So I guess they extended it.

I ended up buying the family one and got it for $144 - even though the coupon i used said expired early april... i am not complaining though!!! hahaha
