Did switching to milk cause constipation for your DC?
DD is having horrible constipation since her switch to milk.
Did this happen to your DC and what did you do about it? When did it go away or get better?

Re: Did switching to milk cause constipation for your DC?
Yes!
We slowly got her onto milk with mixing it with formula. It took about a month but AJ had sucsh constipation problems I figured it was worth it. I also gave her more juice and water to help move things along. A lot of folks here are against juice etc. But i could care LESS about sugar and calories when AJ is screaming from pain pushing out a poop
ETA: Once we got her off formula all together, we found alternate sources for calcium. Cheese, yogurt, etc. Just give her milk at night now. She's still got solid poop but its no longer painful as in tears. She still turns bright red and teary but it moves on, ya know?

I hear ya. The sad thing is fruit, fiber and juices don't do barely a thing for this child. We are close to going to see a GI dr but I hate to put her through invasive testing if it may pass, kwim?

Yes. It has been sooo bad. I feel so bad. My poor DS is struggling sooo much. My ped said he doesn't need as much full fat dairy as I'm giving him. He is such a poor eater and he only likes dairy.

So what does your ped want you to do?
My DD loves her milk, cheese and yogurt. Yet the ped, who is well aware of her constipation, has never suggested to me to cut back.
