we hired a painter and a cleaning crew. we did change the locks but not the toilet seats (they were clean and professionally cleaned)

We're not moved in yet, but I absolutely plan on changing the locks and the toilet seats as soon as we get in....then clean the house, rip out the downstairs carpet, clean the upstairs carpet, paint....list goes on and on...

We changed the locks and toilet seat right away in fact we had them with us in the car at our closing. Me, my SIL and MIL were the cleaning crew. My MIL scrubbed our toilet with a toothbrush! She offered, I did NOT ask her to do that

I cleaned BEFORE my stuff was in.. I'm a stickler for cleaning and while I've had a cleaning lady on and off for years, I still do a better job lol (it's mental).
yes, I changed the locks as well.. I don't know who had sets of keys to the house and didn't want that in the back of my mind.
I also changed the toilet seats.. I skeeve things like that.
Same for everything.

We changed the locks and the toilet seats right away, and I cleaned the place top to bottom myself before we moved all our stuff in.
