Did you ever get really nervous and second guess yourself
This is my 3rd cycle off BC and i thought that we were going to start trying this month (for an early june baby). Suddenly i got really nervous and decided that i wanted to wait until next month, or maybe the month after. My DD is going to be 6 and i know what i am in for, and i think its making me super nervous. Did anyone else get like this when it was finally "time".

I don't have any children, so I think I second guess myself more due to the unknown!!!!
Good Luck!

I do! In fact I think we are goning to put it on hold for awhile. I don't think I'm ready for this at all. I thought I was but I was wrong. Better to be 100% sure before just charging blindly ahead! Good luck with whatever you decide!

Re: Did you ever get really nervous and second guess yourself
omg I've been feeling like this a lot lately. I've been thinking waiting for another year - we bought a house this past winter and I would like to get some more morgage payments in and maybe another vacation.
We were talking the other day and my DH said to me if want to wait we could. I know in the beinging when we first talked about it, he didn't understand why I was feeling the way I was and he wanted to right away. And now he said this. I asked him do you want to wait? He said I don't want to pressure you. But I wonder if he is scared too and feels the same way as I do, and using "I don't want to pressure you" as an excuse

Re: Did you ever get really nervous and second guess yourself
I completely thought I was ready at first. We weren't really trying but we weren't being careful either. Then I went to the doctor and due to other medical circumstances he suggested that we wait 2 months. At first I was really upset but then I was relieved and now that I've had time to think about it, I'm not so sure I'm ready anymore. Just the few weeks of stressing out about everything I ate and drank (caffeine, alcohol, etc.), my stress level, and then testing and waiting for AF seemed too much to handle. When I knew we couldn't and I didn't have to think about all those things I felt such a sense of relief. And I always wanted to just let it happen naturally but now I don't know if that's possible. I'm not a naturally "healthy" person (I like my coffee and happy hour every once in a while) and the whole lifestyle change was drastic. Does this mean I'm not ready?

It might mean you are not ready or it might just mean you are scared of the unknown and of all the changes you will have to make in your lifestyle. (Happy hour, coffee drinking, etc) It's natural to get comfortable with the way your life is now and having a baby will change so much of your lifestyle. (Not just while TTC but even more so afterwards). I am totally with you on this.
