did you get a pic at your first sonogram?

my first appointment is in less than a week (7W1D)...i am assuming they will be doing a sonogram although i didnt ask. DH and I already bought frames to surprise our parents with when we tell them about the baby, but i was wondering...is it common to get a pic?

They gave me two different pictures to take home.

Our first sono was in the ER so we didn't get a pic, but once we had the sono at the dr's office they gave us 2 pics and a frame that goes on the fridge that says baby's first photo. It's so cute.

I got one picture at my 7 week 4 day u/s and 4 pics at my 12 week u/s.

Yes, but I would definitely ask right before they do the sono to make sure you get one. I have gone for others sonos and then been surprised when I didn't get a pic, so always ask first.

Yes. My first appt was almost 9 weeks, but yes I did get a pic then.

yes we got a picture but it was just 2 copies of the same picture. we still love it anyways!

yep! you can look in my album to see my lil monkey at 8 weeks. (i think it was 8 weeks) i got a pic at every sono except for the last one which he did just to check the heartbeat and because i asked him to make sure it was a boy haha.

I could of taken it but even the dr. said cause it was so early that it was so small to even see on the picture.

at my 1st sono at 7w I got a pic. I did not get a pic at my 11w sono so I made SURE to ask for one at my 20w and got a ton then.

lol, that's funny! there is a website that talks about the development and the 6 week pic totally looks like a seamonkey! (DH said it looked like a shrimp!)

We got 4 pictures, which were basically the same exact picture. I was 6 weeks.

We went early- 6 weeks 3 days and it is the smallest picture ever, but it was the first picture so it is the one I have framed in my house!!!!

I got so many great pictures after but I am so sentimental to this one bc it is when it was REALLY confirmed to us!

Our first sono was at 5w6d. I did not get a pic because I didn't know I had to ask and when I asked it was too late, they had already shut down the machine. When I went for my next appt, we made sure to ask for a pic right away!!

I got a pic at my first sono. I was 11 weeks though so there was a little more to see. You can ask for a pic if they don't give you one.
