Did you get hand/footprints in the hospital?
We didn't and I am sick over this. I thought it was something every hospital does once the baby is born. Am I the only one that didn't get them?

Nope, and we delivered at the same hospital as you. It stunk. But my sis was there, she's a L&D nurse upstate, and she swiped the little paper/pad contraption that they use for hospital records, we did it when I came home from the hospital.
I was so mad at the hospital too!

No, and I didn't realize it until a week later when I frantically called up the hospital asking if they still had them (afraid that they might have thrown it out). But apparently they don't do them anymore.

I wasn't even thinking!!! We moved the night before he came (early) and we didn't even do it when we got him home because I went right back into the hsospital. I barely remember August.

nope - and I was sick over it too
We were told at the hospital I delivered at that they don't do it anymore.
But they did give us stuff to do it with ourselves - but that was a nightmare

Yeah, I would never have thought about it either, my sis just thought it was weird that they didn't give me one (guess they do at her hospital) so she swiped one from the baby's crib thing in the delivery room before DD was taken to the nursery. Do one now-- it's not too late! Better to have it now than not at all!

We did. I delivered at Winthrop and at the orientation they told us to bring anything we wanted them to put the footprint on.

I had asked to get them in my baby book for DS. The only did his feet and gave me a stupid excuse that they didn't have the ink pad for the hands
How do they differ.. it is probably just easy for them to do feet prints and hard to do hand prints so they just dont bother.
Im happy I do have the feet prints

The nurses stamped a card from the then governor and his wife with the foot prints after they printed him. We don't have hand prints.

I got the footprints for both, I delivered at NS Manhasset in 2/05 & 6/06.
I was told they don't do the hands anymore since it's hard to clean the ink off their hands and they are constantly putting their hands in their mouths.

We brought her baby book and they stamped her feet into it. She was curling her toes so it looks like she only has 4 toes.
I had a c-section (at LIJ) so they did the official foot prints in the OR, then they weighed and measured her in the recovery room in front of us and I some how remembered the baby book. The nurse was so nice and she did it, she felt so bad that there were only 4 toes showing but seeing that will always bring me back to the moment.

They did her footprints in her babybook at Southside (yet the ink is smudged). I attempted to do her handprints on my own w/ tempura paint at a month old & its scary!

We got the footprints only, they gave a little certificate with them on it, with his name and stats on it.
