Did you go to work the day after D&C??
My doc. said not to drive for 48 hours after the D&C. So i am planning on being out the day after the D&C. DH will drive me the following day if he needs to.
Did you take any days off after the D&C? I don't really want to have to take any days...although part of me knows i will want to be alone for at least an extra day. I just dont have much sick time, and i'm going on vacation soon. It's a hard time for me to be out of work! Oh well....not much i can do.
How did you feel after the procedure??? Any symptoms? and i forgot to ask...did you doc. tell you how soon you can start trying again? I was 7 weeks, although measuring less than that. I will prob take a break till at least June.

Re: Did you go to work the day after D&C??
I'm so sorry for you loss
I had a D&C 4 weeks ago on a Friday and did not take off any extra days because I had the weekend. For the most part, I felt fine physically afterwards - emotionally is another story!
I was actually in limbo for some time regarding the viability of the pg and I did take a few days off during that time.
For me, it was really good to get back to work and into my "normal" routine, but I think its good you are taking the day after off.
I am still waiting for my AF to come and then I am trying again. My doctor did not tell me I had to wait more than that and we are undergoing IVF next cycle.

Re: Did you go to work the day after D&C??
I did,, only b/c I coudn't stand the thought of being home bored and depressed.
This time around, I'm going to take an extra day.
After the d&c, I was actually quite relieved. The anxiety beforehand is the worst part. THe actual procedure was uncomfortable ( I was awake for mine which I do NOT recommend) and afterward you will have cramping....like a bad period.
I know its scary, but it really is okay. What you are going through right now....all the anxiety and waiting, is the worst part.

Re: Did you go to work the day after D&C??
I just had mine done the day before yesterday and I took the following day off b/c dr. said I couldn't drive for 24 hrs. Glad I did b/c I was mentally & physically exhausted. Even today was hard & I only worked a half day. Just sore & felt fragile.

Re: Did you go to work the day after D&C??
I had a D&C about 3 weeks ago, and I am still off of work. My doctor advised that I have at least 4 weeks off work to get myself feeling better and to get my emotions in check. I am going to have about 6 weeks off work in total, I think I deserve it and I need it. My work is being really supportive.
Good luck!

First, I am so sorry for you loss
I had a D&C the Wednesday after Martin Luther and I stayed out of work the next day. Physically I felt fine but emotionally I was a mess and staying home alone didnt make me feel any better. I really wanted to go in the next day but my Dr. was adamant about me staying home. It actually felt good to go to work that Friday and be around people.
Lots of
