Did your shower invite have your FI's name?
My sister knew MIL would adore it if she had DH's name printed on it, too...I think I had the only wedding shower invite that said my name, followed by "Fiance of first and last name"...I know his entire family loved it. ha ha...when I finally saw the invite at the actual shower, I was like, Aw...go sis!

That's so cool! I thought it was pretty different. I had never gotten one with the guy's name, too!

Mine did too. My friend loved the idea & did it for her sister's shower, too.
I'm not sure if my coudsin saw it somewhere or thought of it on her own, but it was good b/c my MIL invited a bunch of people I had never met!

Yes. I did this for my sister's bridal shower, which was a few months before mine.
When the time came for her to do my invitations, she did the same for me.
But I had a very common first & last name. There were over 35 girls with the same name as me on the BB&B registry. So adding "fiance of Ed XXXX" was almost a necessity!!

That's probably where my cousin got the idea!
Come to think of it thoguh, like Lana said, other than my own, I don't think I've ever gotten an invite like that. They 've all been friends though, so I've know who it was for.
I think some people, include the registry card form the store & put both names on the card.

Mine did...I told my mom to make sure she puts it on...My friend's mother forgot to put the grooms name on the invite and people on his side had no idea who she was when they got it - like his mother's friends...

I never saw my invite. There was issues with my bridal shower so it had to be scheduled someplace other than the original location.
