Diet Food For Chihuahuas
I have 2 chuuby chihuahuas.
Chico is 9lbs and Mimi is 6lbs and they are a little chubby.. they are mainly indoor dogs so we haven't really taken them outside.. They eat Iams food for small and toy dogs but I was wondering if anyone knew of healthier food to make them shed some lbs..

My mom, who's a dog trainer, recommended we try Science Diet Lite for the dogs.. they seem to like it but their poop is now light brown and dry but they are still going on a normal basis, so I am thinking it's ok..

I have a fat Chihuahua too. He is 15 pounds though! I don't know why they get SO fat. Mine doesn't even eat that much. Did you ever get yours tested for Thyroid issues?

They aren't that heavy.. only 9 and 6lbs.. but I only leave them a little food in the morning and a little when I get home from work so they aren't pooping as much.. I am hoping that works.. My 9lb boy seems to be thinning out a little.. but it's still early so I am going to give it more time.. But I have to say, they like their food and eat it right away so they aren't grazing like they did with the Iams..
