Re: Diet Pills
They dont work. IF you loose any weight, the minute you stop taking them it comes back in spades.

Re: Diet Pills
ALways a terrible idea in my opinion.
Diet and exercise are the way to go. No such thing as an easy fix.

Re: Diet Pills
I agree with the girls above. I personally don't feel comfortable taking pills but my sis has tried quite a few different kinds in attempting to find a quick fix and none of them really worked. She also had some pretty scary side effects from one of them.
I know the thought of something that will help jump start metabolism is tempting but I really think exercise and eating well is the way to go. I've been there and I know it can be frustrating when nothing seems to be working but diet pills can be so dangerous so please be careful.

DO NOT take diet pills! There are ways to increase your metabolism without them.

Diet and exercise are the way to go. No such thing as an easy fix. I completely agree.

You need to start tracking EVERYTHING you are eating. The first thing to do is to begin measuring and weighing your food so you know how much you are actually eating then record it using a program that will break it down into macronutrients. I personally like fitday.com (It is free) but myfitness pal is also good for this- Ignore the recommended caloric intake if you use myfitnesspal it tend to be very low.
Keep track of your intake for a couple of weeks. Then you can begin to adjust your intake accordingly. I would also recommend eating 5-6 small meals a day...this will keep your metabolism working. There is no trick to weight loss you need to burn more calories then you are eating. In order to increase your metabolism you need to eat regularly- I would also try to pair protein and carbohydrates at each meal/snack. Good Luck!

I agree with ALL of this. Track EVERYTHIGN...even veggies!
My meals look like this:
Egg whites and low carb toast
1/2 low carb pita, 3 oz extra lean turkey burger salad and laughing cow cheese I will have a pumpkin pancake as a snakc with lunch too.
1 cup of milk or protein shake (I can't have regular milk so I use a substitute) blended with ice as a shake. 1 chocolate crunch rice cake
Dinner is either grilled chicken, egg white omelette with 1/2 pita and laughing cown cheese.
Bedtime snack- 2 white cheddar rice cakes with cottage cheese.
Depending on how hungry I am throughout the day< I have been adding in a few extra little snacks. Rice cakes are great...i get them in every flavor known to man...i eat extra veggies too but I always factor them in!

You definitely need to bump up proteins, veggies and fruit.
Breakfast: omelet with peppers & onions & slice of cheese, piece of whole wheat toast, 1/2 orange, coffee with creamer
Snack: veggies & hummus, glass of water
Lunch: chef salad with oil & vinegar, wheat thins, seltzer to drink
Snack: apple with peanut butter, water or green tea
Dinner: soup or soft tacos or chili, glass of wine every other night and water
*Smart ones are quick and easy but they are not that nutritionally sound. You definitely should be adding veggies to it or having a side salad.
