Digital Cameras...Recommend Yours...
I have a Sony Cyber-Shot (4.1 megapixels) that I love but the picture quality is definately not up to par. My birthday is coming up next week & this is what I told DH I wanted.
Looking for something small but will take great pictures & must be able to do movies

This is what I have it's the Digital SLR.
I also have the Sony CyberShot-DSC-W70 that I love for a point & shoot. I use this a lot since it fits in my pocketbook. I actually carry it everyday.

They both are shockproof, waterproof (no case needed to go underwater) & I believe freezeproof. We have the 720 (the oldest version of the three), which is the one we took on our HM. We got amazing underwater pics & video!

The Rebel is a great camera, but isn't small, nor does it do movies (not to my knowledge and I have 2 different models at the moment.)
I'd say the Nikon Coolpix P3 (8.1Mpix) or a Canon Powershot (7.1Mpix) and they both do movies (Nikon does Quicktime and Canon AVI.)

I agree I have the same one and I love it!
I also have the Canon Powershot 7.1 mp but I am looking to get a new one because I HATE how it takes pics indoors. Outside it takes the most beautiful pictures but I cannot get an indoor shot that isn't blurry, dark, red eyed (yes, I put it on no red eye) or the flash bounces off whatever happens to be in front of you. I know I am not that camera savvy and maybe there are adjustments that can be made (I tried all different combinations), but if you aren't that savvy either, I would get something else.

I have a canon rebel for my SLR digital for special events and vacation.
For every day I have a kodak easyshare Z712 IS. and I absolutely LOVE it!!!

I have the Canon powershot SD900 digital elph 10.0 megapixel. I absolutly LOVE it! Picture quality it excellent. IMO cannon is amazing. I just got a cannon printer and it prints pics just like they came from CVS. I ad a kodak camera before this one and the pics came out dark and fuzzy most of the time.

We just bought the Nikon Coolpix S200 (7.1 megapixels) and like it so far. We had a Canon Elph and were generally pretty happy with it until it recently broke.

i LOVE canons! i have the canon powershot SD700... it takes great pictures! the color comes out great! it also takes short movies.. its nice and small to carry around
DH also has a canon rebel XT... its a digital SLR camera it takes great shots, but its big to carry around on vacation and things. we use it a lot for weddings or to do "photo shoots". amazing pictures! doesn't do video, though.
