I think FMU is the best.
Really? Even with OPKs? I though FMU was for pregnancy tests but you should test late day with OPKs???
I am very confused....

Re: Digital CBE OPKs
I've read in many places that FMU is not best on an OPK.

Re: Digital CBE OPKs
I used CBE Fertility Monitor (not sure if that is the same as digital OPK ) . The instructions said to use FMU, so that is what I did. I got my +OPK and got PG the first time I used it (after 6 months of not using it).
Some people say that do they do not get their + when they use FMU, and only get readings in the afternoon. I think it is really trial and error for your own body...I've heard people try with FMU and in the afternoon the first month using them also.
Good Luck!!!

Re: Digital CBE OPKs
I started with FMU and I wasn't getting any peak readings, so on the next cycle I switched to the afternoon and it has been working great...except, that I am not PG yet!!!!

Re: Digital CBE OPKs
I used these and tested only with FMU - the first and only month I used them - BFP!
Good luck :)

Re: Digital CBE OPKs
i used the cbe monitor and used fmu for the this month and i got a peak reading. i thought it was easier to use fmu rather than holding it for 4 hrs in the afternoon.

Re: Digital CBE OPKs
The best time for using OPKs is between 5pm and 7pm...that's where your LH is at its peak...
FMU is only good for pregnancy tests...

Re: Digital CBE OPKs
I just picked up the monitor and the instructions say to use FMU. But if I understand correctly, depending on when you start your cycle and set the monitor up, it will give you a testing window.
I'm actually wondering now if I wasted $$. The new Dr. I saw yesterday told me to do OPK's every day, but I see with the monitor you need to start in the beginning of your cycle. I'm on CD37 with no AF in sight, so I guess I have to wait to use the monitor.

Re: Digital CBE OPKs
Thanks for the responses. I am not using the monitor, just teh digitla OPK sticks...I read an old post that said to use them between 12 and 8 p.m. I think I am going to try at 4 p.m. and see how it goes.
Thanks again!

Re: Digital CBE OPKs
This is what I found
Should I use first morning urine (FMU) with OPK's?
No. LH is synthesized early in the day, and is not metabolized into your urine until later. So, as a rule, you are more likely to catch your surge later in the day. ("They" say you should test sometime around 4-8 p.m).
Note: the Clearblue Fertility Monitor is the exception. The FM Monitor does require FMU.
also
Unlike pregnancy tests, morning (first morning urine) is not the best time to collect samples for ovulation tests, as LH is synthesized in your body early in the morning and will not appear in your urine until the afternoon. The ideal time to test is in the afternoon, around 4pm.
Hope this helps.
