Usually in the fall and spring your local school district may offer some classes. Usually you'll get a brochure of all the classes they offer - I took a photo class through mine and loved it (obviously LOL).

I'm doing a class through the NY Institute of Photography.
NY Institute of Photography
It is an at home study course. They provide books, audio CDs, and critique of your photos. I'm not very far into it (I've just been too busy to work on it).
