Photography classes?
Does anyone know where I can take some photography classes?
I have an awesome camera (Digital Rebel XT) but I don't know how to use it out of auto mode. I'd love to take a few classes to learn how to use it most effectively.
Thanks for any suggestions you may have!

I don't know of any classes. But I have the same camera. I love it. I want to upgrade to a new lens but I have no idea what to get. What lens do you have on your?

I know Nikon has courses & debated taking one. I may be looking into one that my library or school district offers. (Northport-East Northport)

I'm taking one starting Monday night thru the Northport-East Northport district. I'll let you know how it goes!!!!!

I learned photography through years of trial & error, reading manuals and books, and participating in photography online communities. DH wants me to look into photo courses to take it to the next level but I haven't yet. I have a Nikon and I'm especially interested in nature photography and there are Long Island classes for those.
If you want a general beginner's information, the author Bryan Peterson comes highly recommended from the professional photogs I know, here are his books on Amazon:
