Dilation Question...
Hi girls,
Went to doctor today, im 37 weeks and 3 days. Last week i wasnt dilated at all, but i expected something today or at least was hoping. She said i am not dilated at all and my cervix hasnt even started to open. I asked her if she thinks i will go past my due date and she said yes. I am very frustrated now. I am so ready to have this baby already. Did anyone have a similar experience and not dilate at all?

Re: Dilation Question...
Dont worry I was in the same boat as you and I was disappointed and then today at my 39th week visist I was 1 cm. I know its not much but it made me feel a little better. Wait till next week, you never know.

I am in the exact situation as you. I know -- it is frustrating. I am really uncomfortable with sciatica pain and pubic bone pain and I keep wishing there was something I could do to speed things along, but unfortunately all we can do is wait. I go to the doctor tomorrow (38 weeks) and I'm praying that things are starting to happen. I was talking to one of my girlfriends the other day and she said that when she had her first, she wasn't dilated at all and then didn't make it to her next visit -- the baby was born within the week. So, things can happen quickly. Another friend was dilated 2cm for 3 weeks and then was in labor for a day and a half before the baby came one the pains started. Not dilating early doesn't really predict anything I guess. Keep you chin up, it's almost over.
