Dining Room table...glass shattered ..help
Okay so I was picking up a bottle off my dining room table this morning, it slipped out of my hand, bounced off my table and the entire glass shattered 
The glass was on top of black wood...it like cracked from underneath...we had to scrap off all the glass...a big mess!
ANyway...the black wood underneath is actually pretty nice but got a little scratched.
We are in a coop and do not want to buy a new table bc we don't see the point since we plan on moving into a house in a cple yrs and getting a bigger set...
What can I do fix the scrathes, anything?
Do they have paint for tables?
This is such a random question I know...but so many of you are handy and do such beautiful things in your home.

UPDATE
Called Macy's had protection program DUH    
They are sending me new glass and someone to install..I am SO relieved

Can you cover the scratches with a runner or placemats?
I've tried the markers and I don't really feel like it works...depending on how deep the stratches are...

The problem is...the glass was glued to the edges...so the scratches are on the edge of the table...I think maybe placemats might work...but not a runner. Thanks

I would contact the company that made the table. It doesn't sound right that you dropped something so small and it shattered. Sounds like a defect to me.
