Dinner Time - Good Idea
I heard on the radio today something that I thought I'd share.
They were talking about family dinners.
One mother called up, said every dinner had to have 3 colors on it. This helped her get her kids to eat a balanced meal.
She started when her daughter was about 2 1/2 and knew her colors. She took her daughter to the supermarket to help pick out the different colors.
Her daughter is 17 and still yells at mom if there aren't 3 colors on the plate.
Thought I'd share b/c I can remember looking at dinner at my mom's house a few times and saying, wow - what a beige plate!
ETA: How do you get your family to eat a balanced diet? Please add your ideas, thoughts...

Re: Dinner Time - Good Idea
... until DC get too smart for themselves....
DS would love orange Doritos, tan potato chips, and red jello....
"But Daddy, it's 3 different colors!"

If you don't mind me adding to this thread...
We keep a huge ziploc bag of chopped red, yellow & green peppers in our freezer. DH throws them into so many of his dishes....pasta, eggs, salads, etc..
