If you need to outfit the entire house - yes you can save but the membership fee is Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon A friend and her boyfriend just joined a few weeks ago since they need to furnish their 2 bdr condo in Manhattan. She said the membership fee was a few thousand dollars. You save only if you really need a ton of stuff (all appliances, cabinets etc.) But it seems you can get similar prices on your own with some internet shopping and price match options at brick & mortar stores.

There are tons of catalogs but not much in the way of displays. Everything must be ordered from catalogs. You have to know what you want (found it some place else) and then go order.

For appliances you do not save as much as with furniture & cabinetry.

Re: Direct Buy

The fee is $4,900 for the first 3 years and then like $150 per year thereafter. Appliances are discounted (my mistake) it's the electronics are NOT deeply discounted.

Re: Direct Buy

Yes that is accurate on the membership fees. My sister-in-law works at one in CT. They have great stuff at good prices but the membership is costly.
