Disagreeing with the teacher AGAIN. Please tell me whats going on here?
I feel like I live in the twillight zone.
This is insane.
SO...I wrote yesterday about noahs social issues in his comminucation book to the teacher. That the kids are rough on the playground, I SAW this myself and they hurt each other. ThatNoah saysthey call him a baby and push him in the halls....I wrote how Noah feels no one likes him, how he is afraid to talk to other kids and to address the teachers for anything beyond basic needs. That this is what he is telling me he feels. He tells me this ALL the time.
She wrote NOTHING back but Noahs doing good.
I have written about this 4 times this year, she has never addressed it. And worked around it at Parent/teacher.
So Today I said, AGAIN...about the social stuff and asked.
She wrote:
Noah appears relaxed and comfortable in school and plays with his peers nicely. He apears very tyical in this school setting. He is a little quieter then some of the other children but he has nop roblem speaking up to a teacher or a peer. We will have our annual meeting soon, let me know if you want to meet sooner.
IDK what the hell to do anymore. HOW can I address to my son his fears/concerns when his teacher is basically telling me they arent even occuring?
How do I call her a liar to her face? HOW do I say well I see something different when I am here, and or Noah tells me something different.
TIA!

No you don't call her a liar.
You get your meeting now. You tell her your concerns for your sons, HIS view vs HER view and maybe she could pay closer attention based on the fact that she may misundertand his "quietness" for something else.

I didnt mean I was literally gonna call her a liar Just that I feel like we are on different pages.
I spoke to the Dev. Ped's office and they said they have a program with a psychologist who works with the teachers and the parents together. I am trying to get more info on it.
thanks for your advice

I agree, just tell her that you see very different things than she does and Noah tells you what happens and give her some examples. Sometimes they do not see everything, or it's possible she's not paying as much attention to him because he is quiet at school and probably causing issues.
But you have every right to tell her your son says he is being picked on by other children. If you think she's clueless, bringing the psychologist in might be helpful.
Good luck!
