Dishwasher with stainless steel tub - does yours smell bad?
We are getting a new dishwasher and when I'm reading different reviews on different brand, so many reviews on the SS interiors talk about an awful smell. Especially but not limited to Bosch. They seem to have the most complaints.
Does yours smell bad? If not, what brand do you have?

I have a Bosch with a stainless interior and it never smells...I don't do anything special

I also have a bosch with a stainless steel tub and I have never noticed a smell at all.

Ialso have Bosch with SS interior. No complaints. No smells. I dont see how SS interiors could be known for smelling?

At the bottom of the DW there should be a drain or strainer type of thing...check if it isn't clogged with food. Food bits or standing water may be accumulating and causing the smell. I hear you can also try running a cycle with either vinegar or baking soda to try and get rid of the smell.

Thank you for the replies. I don't know how or why people are complaining, I just know I have been reading a lot of reviews on various dishwashers and this has come up a bunch of times. Do a google search and you will see that many of them talk about the smell being there from almost the first use. I have no idea if it's a hard water issue, where they live, if it's existing plumbing problems etc. so I am glad to see that anyone who has replied has not had the issue in our area.
