Disney -- anyone been lately?

my 10 year old and i went in February. and DH and I are going back in June, without the kids this time HAHA
honestly- in February, it was incredible!!! SO clean, i felt safer than when we go in normal times, because they were actually cleaning the rides at intervals during the day LOL masks were enforced, hand sanitizer everywhere, capacity was limited... lines looked long, becasue of the distancing markers, but you were almost constantly moving so they went fast. i dont think we waited more than 30 minutes for anything in the 2 days we were there. and we did all 4 parks in 2 days HAHA
we stayed at pop century and the rooms was spotless. it was a last minute trip, so we didn't have any restaurant reservations- but we did mobile order for quick service stuff. You have to do all mobile order through the disney app, you can't walk up and order stuff at the quick service places.
DH and i are going kid-free in june for our anniversary, and hoping for the same great experience, even though i know they've increased capacity in the parks since February so things will probably be more crowded. but i also know they're bringing back staff members, so hopefully it'll balance out.
Definitely ask me aything- I pretty much live and breathe disney HAHAHAHA

I booked last week for a trip next week. Short, 3 nights. Park hopping one day. Epcot was all that came up when I booked, but today MK opened up, yay! Staying at Pop. This is a free trip with miles, a compd room and free tickets so if it sucks, at least we get some sunshine!

Re: Disney -- anyone been lately?

We have a trip booked for December 4th - 11th. We are staying at Pop and have the 6-day park tickets with memory maker.

I have already reserved my park days and am anxious to make my dining reservations.

I am hoping that since they are doing a Halloween Boo Bash they will do something for Christmas.

We are surprising our kids and I have to figure out how to pack without letting them know we are going but I have time for that!

I am so excited and keeping this secret is soooo hard!

Any tips from those that have gone or will be going would be much appreciated!

My kids will be 10 and 6 when we go.

The thing stressing me the most right now is getting the Rise of the Resistance que booked. I have read so many tips and tricks. We have 2 days allocated to HS, so I am hoping we get in the que for at least one of those days.

DH and I went in November and I went with my girlfriends for a few days in April.

I liked it much better in November! Crowds were super low then and the social distancing was awesome.

When I went in April, it was definitely more crowded and people weren't so good about social distancing.

Cast members were super strict about masks both visits.

FYI Disney lifted the outdoor mask requirement just now. Still have to wear in lines and on rides, in stores, restaurants when not eating, on buses and when waiting to enter the park.

True but much better than before. Before we couldn't be sitting at the pool and then get up and walk without having to wear the mask.

So just to update. Yesterday was our park day. We got a MK reservation and hopped to Hollywood then Epcot. Lines are long, park is super busy and there is no fast pass. Don't let anyone fool you into thinking it's not busy. I wouldn't pay for a trip there until everything is back to normal. Many restaurants closed still also. No meet and greet and no fast pass like I said. My son is autistic so we get the DAS, which helped. But, we have always used that in conjunction with fast pass. We had a ton of down time in between ride return times. We had fun but it's not worth paying for ( our trip was free). In addition the no mask while walking around is great but the attractions don't seem to have the ac working fully. So every indoor ride was so hot. It was crazy!!!!

oh geez!!! sounds crazy Chat Icon and now i'm rethinking... my husband and I are supposed to go on a kid-free trip in about a month...flights and hotel and tickets are all paid for, so i can't really change plans. :-/ I guess the only good thing is that we won't have the kids with us this time, and we go a lot anyway--- so worse case, if the parks are nuts, it can turn into a Coronado Springs resort trip, and we can just hang by the pool and enjoy the resort. I also heard that they're bringing back the DCP kids sometime in June- so hopefully in the next month, they'll have more staff back and be able to open up more things, etc. hope you at least had a little bit of fun!!! thanks for sharing your experience though!!

We did have fun! We have been there so much so it didn't really matter to us! Our park tickets were expiring soon though, so figured better now than later! Hopefully it returns to normal soon!

Also the bus sucked in the morning. MK opened at 8am. We thought lining up at 630am would be good for bus. Tons of people were already in line. And you can't stand on buses and every party sits together with partitions so it's limited. They had a lot of buses, but it was annoying. We were in the park by 730am. No waiting at turn styles, no finger scan, no bag check u less metal detector goes off. So that part was great! I've been sleeved every trip over finger scans haha
