Disney Experts: How does this itinerary look?
We are going to Disney in 3 weeks ( ) and just wanted to make sure that I didn't "overbook" us with meals, etc. DD is 2 1/2.
Here's our current itinerary:
Sunday - arrive (late afternoon)
Monday - Magic Kingdom Crystal Palace - 4:45 pm
Tuesday - Animal Kingdom Wolfgang Puck Cafe (Downtown Disney) - 7 pm
Wednesday - Magic Kingdom Chef Mickey's - 9:45 am
Thursday - Hollywood Studios
Friday - Epcot Princess Storybook Dining at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall - 11:05 a.m.
Saturday - depart (early)
How does that look?? Thanks so much!!

Loooks great, I don't think you overbooked anything.
I think we did 2 character meals with DD., plus one at Universal.
Have a great time!

Re: Disney Experts: How does this itinerary look?
Well what dates are you going? Because that can make a big difference. Are you staying on site or off? Do you know if the park you picked that day is an early entry day? If so then people who stay onsite tend to gravitate to those parks so it can be much more crowded. I'm assuming you are going during a school break? If so expect it to be much more crowded.
Without taking that into account it looks good. The only thing I might suggest is to see if you can get a much earlier Chef Mickey's if you go and eat at 945 am you won't get to the park until after 11 and it will be packed by that point in time. If you can't change it then I wouldn't worry about it b.c it is a great opportunity to eat with Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy. We are doing this meal for dinner when we go.
When you have a younger child I usually recommend getting to the park at opening so that you can try to do several rides before they go on 40 min and higher waits. We usually try to do sit down dinners for that reason (we are going in may and have one sit down planned a day).
Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday look good (but it might be more crowded it if is an EMH day). Depending on what you want to do at EPCOT the lunch is fine esp if you get to the park at rope drop.
I would love to hear what you thought of the storybook meal - We are taking the girls there for dinner on our trip and it is one of the few place we have never eaten.
If you have the unlimited guide to WDW 2010 there are some touring plans and for about $5 more you can join their website and get access to hundreds of touring plans and crowd levels (they post an estimate of the crowd levels every day and which parks to go to and which to avoid. The touring plans will help you to figure out how to best maximize your time in the parks with as few lines as possible. Make sure you take advantage of fastpass and get them early - when it is crowded if it is a popular ride it isn't unheard of for the fast passes to be gone by noon.

We are going 3/28-4/3. We are staying off site. All the days we chose are regular entry days (avoiding the parks with extra hours). Yep, going during the school break - I'm used to such crowds.

9:45 was the earliest I could get. I am figuring we'll get there at rope drop and have an hour or so to do stuff, and then go to the breakfast.

I will definitely let you know about the storybook meal! I actually just booked that one yesterday, since DD is SO into Disney princesses right now (she wasn't 2 months ago when I booked the others! ). I am also thinking that since Epcot is a bit less "little kid friendly", having the character meal will be good to have in the middle of the day.

I do have this book (I believe based on your recommendation from an earlier thread of mine! ). I haven't read about the touring plans yet, but definitely will soon!
Thanks so much for all your insight!

Don't give up too much on EPCOT. DD LOVED it when she was 15 months. She loved the finding nemo ride and Turtle talk with Crush - we had to do it over and over. She also really enjoyed journey into your imagination and LOVED to run around the pavillion after the ride - there are some interactive exhibits. She also enjoyed spaceship earth ride, the mexican boat ride with donald and some of the street shows in some of world showcase. We went there several nights and she always had a good time (we eat there several nights on the trip). There is also a great interactive fountain in the sidewalk between future world and world showcase.
