Disney Experts Which would you choose?
Background: Kids are 5 and 2, staying at Art of Animation, Park Hopper tickets. They have been to Disney, but never Animal Kingdom b/c we usually do not buy hopper tickets and we have never wanted to spend a whole day there.
A) go to HS at 8:00AM, ride Toy Story and leave to make a 9:55AM reservation at Cape May Cafe, back to hotel for nap/pool and back to HS for a few other favorites. Doing this may mean we don't get to AK at all as that was slated for this afternoon.
B) Last Day 7:00PM flight. Check out and go to 9:40AM reservation at Cape May Cafe then head to whichever park they choose for a little bit before heading back to hotel around 2:00 to catch Magic Express.
Which would you choose? Thanks

If you choose option A I'm assuming you'll do the morning at HS and the afternoon at AK? I would probably choose that option. But be aware that AK is not open late and you have a better chance of seeing more animals out and about in the morning. So maybe do HS during magic hours, hit a couple of key rides and go to AK. You can always go back to HS later if they're offering fantasmic that night.

Re: Disney Experts Which would you choose?
Is the Cape May reservation essential? With either option you are cutting into prime touring time.
I wouldn't do B because you will have very little time at the parks, unless you want to do World Showcase, which is 5 minutes from the Beach Club and not that busy at 11 when it first opens.
with Option A you'll only get 1.5 hours of prime touring time at most because you'll have to leave HS at 9:30 the latest for your Cape May reservation. If after that you're doing a nap and then a return to HS there is no way you'll have time for AK.
I don't love either option but if those were my choices I would pick A for a nice full day at HS (which we love.) Neither option really makes time for AK.

I would do neither. I don't think that character breakfast is worth losing prime touring time for.
We like to take it easy one of the days so we did the character breakfast on the day that we left. On our last trip, we went to a park late for chef mickey's. I did not think it was worth it to lose valuable touring time. we won't be trading rope drop for a breakfast ever again.

Re: Disney Experts Which would you choose?
Thanks everyone. I was finally able to get a Cape May Cafe reservation on the morning I really wanted. I don't have to choose either of these.
Last question, what's the best way to get from AoA to the boardwalk? Go to Epcot or HS for a transfer?

If you take the bus to Epcot you can actually walk to Beach Club its like a 5 min walk.

It's much longer than 5 minutes if you have to cut through Epcot to get there. Especially since you have to go through bag check, and wait in line to get in the park, and then walk all the way through World Showcase.
I would give yourself at least an hour if you are going from AOA to another park to catch the bus to the BC or DTD, then transferring to the Beach Club. Probably an hour and a half to be safe. Especially if you are going first thing in the morning. Actually I would just take a cab and go directly there!
