Disney in February?

Unfortunately we have to go to Disney during high peak times, I'm reading that April is the absolute worst time of the year to go. Is February break going to be so much better?

Re: Disney in February?

February is better than March/April for sure. If you can avoid the actual holiday weekends you'll be better off but I'd much rather deal with February crowds than Spring Break crowds.

A good itinerary and smart planning will make a world of difference too.

Re: Disney in February?

February will definitely be less crowded, but it will obviously be cooler too. That's a good thing for doing the parks, but not so good if you're looking forward to quality pool time.

April break is God awful...we did it two years ago and they were filled to capacity at the MK by 11am and were turning cars away.

February break will be MUCH better, both in terms of crowds and weather. You will also most likely pay less and be able to take advantage of the discounts. As Kimberly said, if you can avoid the actual holiday weekend, so much the better!

Re: Disney in February?

We went once in February and it was crowded, but not nearly as bad as in March. I will never go March/April again!!

IMO, one of the best times to go is in late September/early October when the kids are off for the Jewish holidays...totally not as crowded as the spring.

We were there this past weekend too. We actually rode IASW with no line, but I'm pretty good at avoiding lines.

The only line we waited on all weekend was Soarin'. By the time we got to EPCOT the FP times were for late evening so we opted out since we were originally supposed to meet friends for dinner.

MK on Saturday did FEEL extremely crowded, but we were able to avoid lines for the most part. It was crowded though since this is the start of the Spring Break season. You really won't run into that in February. President's day pumps it up a bit, but not to level 10 crowds.

Feb break is DH's favorite time to go. (Besides food and wine lol!). Weather is usually mild and crowds are not that bad.

We went February break last year, mid week to the following mid week. It wasn't too bad. Princess Marathon is that week, so that draws a crowd. The airfare is $$$$ for that week though, so I would book VERY EARLY!
