Does anyone here have it? My husband just advised me he purchased a movie for 29.99 but I thought as a straking service at 89.99/year whatever is on there is just included

I noticed this yesterday. We tried to watch Black Widow but there is some Premier Access fee for new movies. That fee is above the subscription amount. I said - hell to the no.

But Raya was free. I don’t get why some are 30$ and others are free.

Yes, there is a fee for new movies. We don't pay for those either.
They will be part of the included stuff eventually.

It was Premium at first and then went to included in June.
ETA- I think it depends on the deal signed for each movie.
I think Mulan was premium at first, but Hamilton never was & both were released when theaters were closed.

Re: Disney Plus
disney+ is the streaming service with most of their content free. some new movies, especially ones which are also in theaters, are premium access and you do have to pay extra for them if you want to see them when they have their theatrical release. Raya was one, Black widow is the latest. Eventually, those movies will become free with your disney+ subscription. (black widow will be free in October)

Cheaper than going to the movies if its a new movie. My husband gets them for free though because we have connections but as a service for anyone else its not bad.

Yup! This exactly. If you wait a bit, it will be part of the regular streaming catalogue.

Re: Disney Plus
No, new releases are a purchase, not included with the streaming. It's a racket!
